Cookie notice
This website sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Here is the detail, and what would have to change.
This notice explains our use of cookies and similar technologies on parkwayz.co.uk. It is short, because we do not use any.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store, so it can recognise your browser on a later visit. Related technologies do the same job by other means: local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, tracking pixels, web beacons and device fingerprinting.
2. What we use
None of them. Specifically, this website does not:
- set any cookie, of any kind, including "strictly necessary" ones;
- write to local storage, session storage or IndexedDB;
- use tracking pixels, web beacons or fingerprinting;
- run analytics of any sort — there is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no heat-mapping, no session recording;
- carry advertising or remarketing tags;
- embed third-party content such as videos, maps, chat widgets or social buttons;
- load fonts, scripts or stylesheets from anyone else's servers — the two typefaces are served from our own domain, so no third party is told that you visited.
The site is plain HTML, CSS and one small JavaScript file that animates the slideshow on the home page. That script stores nothing and sends nothing anywhere.
3. Why there is no cookie banner
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, consent is required before storing information on, or reading information from, a visitor's device, except where it is strictly necessary to provide a service the visitor asked for. We store and read nothing at all, so no consent is needed and a banner would be asking you to agree to something that does not happen.
4. What your browser may still do
Your browser will cache pages, images and fonts so the site loads faster next time. That is ordinary browser behaviour, is not a cookie, is not readable by us, and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings.
5. Server logs are separate
Requesting any web page means your IP address reaches the server that sends it. That is how the internet works, and it is not a cookie. What our host records and for how long is covered in our privacy notice.
6. If this changes
Adding analytics, an embedded video, a chat widget or a hosted contact form would each introduce cookies or similar storage. If we add anything of that sort, we will implement a proper consent mechanism — one that asks before anything non-essential is set — and update this notice beforehand.
